John the apostle tells us,

The Word became flesh and blood,
      and moved into the neighborhood.

We know from the end of the chapter that the neighborhood was in a city called Nazareth.

“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there? (John 1:46)

Jesus intentionally chose to live in a bad neighborhood but we, his followers, flock to the suburbs. We follow Christ in word but do we follow Him in deed also?
